Even though they were enjoying success, you may remember that American Aquarium broke some time back. Frontman BJ Barham said then that he would rebuild, and he has...

Friday, through social media, Barham introduced us to his new band mates...Shane Boeker on guitar, Joey Bybee playing drums, Ben Hussey on bass, Adam Kurtz is playing pedal steel, and of course BJ Barham - lead vocals.

The new American Aquarium has also announced numerous fall touring dates. Barham writes...“Over the last few months, I’ve made reference to the ‘new guys’ more than once. Now that we’re less than a month away from our fall tour, I think it’s okay to let the cat out of the bag - Faces have changed, but the songs are still the same.”

Barham also says that he is “excited” for fans to hear the new tunes that the band has been working on. In July, he told The Boot that he and his new American Aquarium bandmates will head into the studio this fall, looking to release a new album in early 2018.

Barham says...“This is going to be a proper rock ‘n’ roll album. That’s the goal. But, it wouldn’t be an American Aquarium record without some super-emotional songs. The record is named Things Change, and it’s a record about where American Aquarium’s last album "Wolves" left off. Since "Wolves" came out, I’ve gotten sober, I’ve gotten married, I have a new band, and our country is headed in a completely different direction.”
