Saturday night was a blast, Ryan Beaver and the Thieving Birds ventured into town over the weekend.  I think we may need a brief recap on the weekend.

Saturday kicked off with a bang since it was Memorial Day weekend full of pool and lake time, some cold beers, good food and live music with great friends.  Saturday I kicked off the day by meeting up with a few friends to chill by the pool and cook out.  Around six o'clock we cleaned up the cookout and headed out to Stillwater Bar & Grill to catch Bob Simpson, who opened for Ryan Beaver.  Stillwater was pretty hopping with boats hooked up to the docks, the parking lot full and empty seats were scarce.  Bob played a fantastic set pumping out all his original tunes as well as some covers from some of his favorite singer/songwriters.  Shortly after Bob was done Ryan Beaver got Stillwater rockin' with older tunes as well as new ones.  Ryan and the guys put on a show second to none.  Between the writing and the musicianship on stage it was surely a treat.  All in all, it was a good time at Stillwater Bar & Grill.  Even a few law enforcement officers showed up to enjoy the tunes and grab some food.

Stillwater Bar & Grill has early shows, with Ryan Beaver being done about 10:30pm that left plenty of time to run over to Blaine's Pub and checkout the Thieving Birds.  I rounded up everybody riding with me and we headed out to Blaine's.  The Birds had just started when we got there so not bad timing in my opinion.  Ace, John, Rody and Beau were jammin' out playing all your favorite Thieving Bird tunes.  They played a longer set than normal, two 1 hour sets and hung out after the show selling merch and signing autographs.  All in all it was a great Saturday night.
