Boo! Google Search Study Reveals What Texans Fear the Most
What are your deepest fears? Are you acrophobic? That's a fear of heights, by the way. Or do you have glossophobia? That would be a fear of public speaking. Maybe you have aviophobia or aerophobia which is a fear of flying.
Well with Halloween right around the corner, the web site Your Local Security conducted a study of the top phobias for every state based on Google searches. This is the second straight year the web site has compiled its report and some of the results are fascinating. According to Your Local Security:
- Only Montana searched for “fear of humans” the most. With the state’s wide open spaces, it’s not hard for people to stay away from each other.
- Utah was the only state with “fear of needles” as the most searched fear—not to be confused with the Needles District in Utah’s Canyonlands National Park.
The top fear in the country according to the study was a fear of failure.
So, what was it that Texans feared the most? Was it snakes? We have plenty of those here. How about the fear of spiders? Oh wait, maybe it's a fear of Super Bowls seeing as the Dallas Cowboys haven't been there in 25 years.
Well according to Your Local Security, Texans biggest fear is the fear of blood. I have got to say I'm in this group. I don't know I necessarily fear blood, but I don't really like the sight of it. I also hate needles, so that may be related to my hatred of blood.
