Do You Work for One of the Top 25 Companies for Achieving Work-Life Balance?
ometimes, nothing can be more difficult than trying to find a positive balance between work and life. Let’s face it, some of the Scrooge-like employers out there can make it harder than others.
However, there are some companies that see the potential in helping their employees achieve a better balance and work to make that balance easier by implementing flexible schedules, generous paid time off, and other helpful perks.
According to the online jobs and career community Glassdoor, two of the leaders in companies who provide the best work-life balance are MITRE, a not-for-profit group that provides systems engineering, research and development, and information technology to the government, and consulting firm North Highland.
“In today’s highly connected world, striving for work-life balance can feel virtually impossible given greater access to our jobs around the clock,” said Rusty Rueff, Glassdoor’s career and workplace expert. “Companies that make sincere efforts to recognize employees’ lives outside of the office will often see the payoff when it comes to recruiting and retaining top talent.”
This year’s list of the top 25 companies for work-life balance was put together solely based on employees who were selected to participate in an online survey of the best and worst reasons to work for their employer.
