Curing Cancer Music Fest Is Right Around The Corner

It's that time once again for the Curing Cancer Music Fest in Ballinger, Texas.  The festival has been moved to October this year to avoid the crazy heat from last year. 

The Curing Cancer Music Fest is next weekend and I've been waiting for it since April last year.   The 2011 festival had an attendance of over 2,500 which resulted in a check for over $25,000 dollars being cut for the American Cancer Society.  The nonprofit event brings many high caliber artists together in an attempt to kick cancer in the butt.  Everything takes place at the Ballinger airport October 12th and 13th.  It is BYOB and camping is available.  The intimate Friday night acoustic set brings 5 very talented musicians such as Texas Mule House Ratz, Manzy Lowry, Justin Langston, Jessi England and Kramer LaBarge.  Saturday the show kicks off at 11am with 12 of your favorite Texas/Red Dirt artists.  This is sure to be even bigger than last year and I think we need to find something crazy for Tommy Boy to do if we hit $30,000.  I wonder what we could make him do, what do you think?  You can pick up your tickets in advance for just $15 at Outhouse Tickets.  Also listen for chances to win tickets to the music fest starting October 5th.  Check the Curing Cancer Music Fest Facebook or website to see the full line up or for more information.
