The San Angelo Downtown Lion's Club is getting ready for their first annual Clay Bird Shoot Saturday, August 15th at the Clay Bird Association.

I visited with Russell DeVore, Chairman for the event this morning on the Kickin' Wake-Up Call and we talked about the event.

Russell talked about where the money is going from the shoot in addition to helping with Lions Club projects.

He said that registration is underway now, but that you can register starting at 7:30 am the day of the event with shooting at 9.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 and there is even a live band to enjoy during lunch.

There will be plenty of opportunities to win some great items both as a shooter and with their gun boards and auction.

They are still looking for volunteers and sponsors and the Lions Club always welcomes new members.

Listen to the above interview for more information.
