Downtown Strong Celebrates St. Patty’s Day Early
Even though St. Patrick's Day isn't until March 17th, Downtown Strong is celebrating the Holiday on Thursday, March 11th with a big event from 5-8 pm at numerous locations and businesses downtown.
All Downtown Strong celebrations are a lot of fun but this one promises to be extra special. You along with your family & friends are invited to wear the green and join the fun with numerous participating businesses and venues.
Listen to live music, shop for lots of unique gifts which you are sure to find in a number of unique boutiques art galleries, stores and more. Be sure to enjoy a variety of foods offered by some of San Angelo's finest dining establishments downtown.
This Thursday's St. Patrick's Day event will feature the very special venue Raw 1899 which is located at 38 North Chadbourne. Enjoy their drink specials and you're invited to participate in their annual Bloom Art Show & showcase.
For even more St. Patty's fun, play the Lucky Token game where you might just win some great prizes at participating venues.
How does this work you say? According to a Downtown Strong press release, businesses will have a bag of tokens at the register. Each token has a different value and the player with the highest value after visiting businesses will win a prize.
The idea is to visit all of the participating businesses in the event and draw one token from each location as you browse and shop, dine, listen to music or whatever you are enjoying at that establishment. Then just move on to the next location to receive another token. Try to visit them all to increase your chances of winning.
Then, simply make sure to turn your tokens in by 8:30 pm March 11th at Stango's Coffee Shop at 221 South Chadbourne and then just wait to see who wins which will be posted on Downtown San Angelo's Facebook page Friday, March 12th.
The best part is that everyone who attends is a big winner because this event is going to be so much fun!
