To date, Guardians of the Galaxy has made 252 million domestically since opening early this month, when it went number one with 94 million.

The weekend's new releases failed to impress. The drama If I Stay opened in third place, collecting 16.4 million dollars. The high school football drama When the Game Stands Tall bowed in the fifth spot, with 9.1 million, and the sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For debuted in eight place, with just 6.5 million.
