In advance of the release of his new album, El RioFrankie Ballard is sharing some of its tracks, including a song called "Cigarette."

"Cigarette" is one of three tracks that fans will instantly snag when pre-ordering El Rio. To share the new tune, Ballard and company crafted a music video, which fans can watch above. In the clip, shots of Ballard and his band performing "Cigarette" in a bright warehouse-type space contrast with darker shots of a stripper -- the woman seen smoking a cigarette at the beginning and end of the video -- at work.

"I wanna be your cigarette / Smokin' on so cool / Or maybe that red wine / Drinkin' down so smooth," Ballard sings in the song's chorus. "I wanna be the fire / That's takin' you higher / Girl, you can leave me or let me burn / I wanna be your cigarette, cigarette."

For El Rio, Ballard and his band left Nashville to record the project, working instead in El Paso, Texas.

“I’ve done a lot of recording in Nashville and other places, but I really wanted to get out and away and try to focus and eliminate some distractions that come from recording in Nashville,” Ballard tells The Boot, “just in an effort to make the music better.”

El Rio is available for pre-order on iTunes and through Ballard’s official online store. The record will be released on June 10.
