Texas Voters Are Getting More Political Money Requests

I'm sure I can't be the only Texans who is shocked at the text messages we are getting as of late from politicians. Recently, I have had more than a few random text messages hit my phone and it's the politicians who are asking for money as they have elections coming up.

While I realize it takes money to run a campaign and sure we all have certain people we would like to see making decisions for our communities and our state but in a time where everyone seems to be struggling right now, does it really make sense to send unauthentic spam text messages to everyone asking for $5 or more?

Are Political Text Messages Getting Out of Hand?

Recently I've seen more than a few people mentioning how social media has also turned into what is being described as a place for people to panhandle.

Now let me be clear, there are some people that are truly in a difficult spot and need a little assistance. But for most of these politicians, they are making more money than most of us just working to keep our jobs and pay all of our bills.

Could Political Fundraising Texts Actually Backfire?

The people that are able to donate whether it is for politicians or not, I think it's good that they choose to back up what they believe with dollars out of their bank account. But for most of us receiving a text message asking for money right now is a joke. And might even push people away from wanting to vote for them.

Am I the Only Texan Getting These Messages?

Maybe I am just becoming a grumpy older guy, but these messages seem ridiculous.
