Valentine Revenge: San Antonio Zoo’s “Cry Me A Cockroach”
Valentine's Day is coming. For some of us, it can be a bitter day. Going through a bitter divorce or breakup can leave us with all kinds of mixed emotions.
On the one hand, you love the person. On the other hand, you hate the person. Sometimes, you have someone in your life who has done you wrong, and you're stuck with all the feelings that come with that.
Whatever or WHOEVER the cause for bitterness as you approach the sacred day of love, Valentine's Day 2023, The San Antonio Zoo is coming to your rescue.
They're hosting a Valentine's Day "Cry Me A Cockroach" fundraiser. For a donation, they'll let you symbolically name a vegetable, rodent, or cockroach after an ex, bad boss or even annoying in-law. Then, the creature will be fed to an animal.
You can donate $5, $10, or $25 amounts and you get a downloadable Valentine's Day card. The offender then receives the card informing them.
You can even upgrade with a donation of $150. For that, your not-so-special someone will receive a video of the veggie, cockroach, or rodent being fed to one of the animals. Maybe if you're really lucky, the microphone will pick up each agonizing crunch.
I don't know about you, but I would pay $150 not to see that. Maybe, they should add a $250 donation for a card showing the animal pooping it out. Or is that just too much? The zoo is an hour and a half from San Angelo, so it is definitely doable.
