Jeff Allen Is The Kickin Country Artist Of The Week

One of the most down to earth and well grounded guys you will ever meet, that can put song and verse down and make you fall to pieces.

A Canton Texas native Jeff Allen was just like every down home Texas boy, he spent time with his grandparents listening to church hymns and listening to old country music with his grandfather. Jeff picked up his first guitar at the age of 15 which was his aunts guitar that was hidden away in an attic. It was only a short year later that Jeff was making a public debut at a local festival in downtown Canton.  Even though nerves played a tough game on him he stayed persistent and has become a solid artist true to his roots.

Jeff released his first album called "Raised On Gettin By" which was a full length studio album that he promoted through the Texas scene in radio and live shows. His first single to radio was "Raised On Gettin By" the title track of the album and it did very well on the charts. Allen also says that this song was pretty much the anthem of his life and hits home with him every time he sings it. The album consists of 11 songs and of those Jeff wrote or cowrote 8 of them so we see a true reflection of who Jeff Allen is and where he comes from.

I spoke with Jeff recently and he was excited to tell me that soon there would be new music out to the fans and he hopes to get back out to see the folks here in the Concho Valley soon. Check out Jeff Allen on line and watch for new music soon.
