Happy Belated Birthday to our artist of the week, Bruce Robison. He turned 49 this year on June 11th. There are few artists who are in the same league as Robison when it comes to songwriting and performing, and this can be seen the the numerous major artists that have picked up and recorded his songs.

George Strait picked up two songs, Desperately and Wrapped, which he too to the top of the charts nationally. Wrapped even went to number one on the charts. The Dixie Chicks took Travelin' Soldier to number one as well. After he wrote and recorded Angry all the Time, Tim McGraw took it to number one nationally as well. Gary Allen picked up Robisons What Would Willie Do?

Bruce is a very incredible writer who burns up the road covering many concert miles often performing with his beautiful, and very talented wife, Kelly Willis. They still somehow manage to find a balance between the road and managing their family of 6, including the 4 kids. Kelly also records quite often with Bruce. With the two duet albums they've recorded together, I have to say, Angry All The Time is probably one of my favorites, which you can check out out in the video below.
