Cameran Nelson is coming to Midnignt Rodeo this Friday, April 10th. While Cameran Nelson is a rising star in the Texas & Red Dirt Music scene, some folks may not know too much about him. So, I thought I'd fix that.

Cameran started early in the music business, becoming familiar with it when he was only 13 years old. He began playing in his father's band, and continued to move about the music scene, even selling  merchandise for the late Gary Stewart, where he learned so much from the 'King of the Honky Tonk' especially when it came to keeping the crown entertained. Nelson puts on one heck of a show each and every time. He says,

Getting on stage and playing is just that! The work is over and we get to cut loose and have some fun!

From that time on, Nelson has proven himself over and over as a true player in the Texas music scene having hit after hit and sharing the stage with Roger Creager, The Randy Rogers Band, Kevin Fowler, Aaron Watson, Reckless Kelly, Charlie Pride, Rick Trevino, Gene Watson, and many more. He likes to keep his music close to his roots, which did you know he is originally from Haskell, Texas?

Cameron Nelson won Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2014 Texas Music Awards and has been nominated for numerous other awards in the past few years. In 2012 Nelson put out 'Reckless in Texas - EP'  and in 2013 put out 'Happy to Beer', and his latest single 'You can 'Still Wear White' is currently #5 on the Texas Music Charts, and is still moving up.
