San Angelo City Council May Restrict Your Ability to Park in Your Yard

Should the City Council be able to regulate where you park on private property?

San Angelo City Council revisited an old subject in today's City Council meeting, the issue of parking in your own yard. The issue was brought to the table in 2003 for the first time and underwent some discussion but no action was taken, it was again brought up in 2009 and no further action was taken and now in 2012 we talk about it again. Not all of the details can be found on the proposed ordinance but here is what I got from it, basically you wouldn't be able to park on your lawn unless you had made improvements to the area and laid the proper base and or paved the area in which you intend to park. If voted in to the city ordinance residences would be given one year to comply.
