The Insane Inflatable 5K is taking place at the San Angelo Fairgrounds this Saturday, March 12th starting at 8 am! Get ready to experience the most fun, wild and insane obstacle run in the world. This years event features 5 new obstacles. The Sweetwater Rattlesnake Roundup is being held this Friday, March 11th through Sunday, March 13th. It's the World's Biggest Rattlesnake Roundup and features a parade, arts and crafts, snake handling shows, snake eating contests, a chili & barbeque cookoff, dances both Friday and Saturday nights with with great live bands, and much more. Every Thursday you and your family are invited to enjoy an afternoon of art making in the San Angelo Museum of Fine Art Education Studio! They always feature clay and watercolors, and every three weeks there are two new art projects to try. Visitors are welcome to drop in anytime between 3 pm and 6 p.m. Please allow at least 30 minutes to try all projects.

The St. Patrick's Chili Extravaganza will be this weekend at the Water Valley Park. Saturday's cookoff features beans & chili, a big cake auction and more to benefit St. Jude Kids, and Sunday's chili only cookoff benefits local charities. Judges are needed at noon both days. Venture back to a simpler time this weekend during the 12th annual School of The Victorian Lady with special tours and events at Fort Concho March 11th - 13th.. Enjoy the transition of the Fort as they create the atmosphere of a by gone time when ladies wore the most romantic fashions in history. Learn the social practices and customs of the period.
