Suspension Bridge Collapses During Wicked Flooding
It's been a tumultuous week for weather.
First, there was a frightening lightning strike on top of the Empire State Building and then another bolt splintered a pole in Chicago.
Meanwhile, the elements caused serious trouble halfway around the world, too. Flooding caused such an immense overflow of water in the Tinau River in Kenya that the land eroded to the point a bridge collapsed.
Flooding has devastated various regions of the country, with more than three dozen people killed and 26 reported missing and damage to thousands of homes.
The bridge collapse is a pretty frightening thing to take in: it's literally there one second and effortlessly washed away into the water the next and makes you wonder about the security of the infrastructure around us.
