Texas is 2nd Worst State to Live in 2021 Says CNBC
Are you kidding me? Do you believe this?
CNBC rated the state of Texas as the 2nd worst state to live in 2021.
This is what these morons at CNBC had to say about our great state in their "assessment" of the worst states in the country.
For all its strength as a place to do business, Texas keeps trying to outdo itself when it comes to laws and policies that are seen as exclusionary. It is one of the only states with no public accommodation law to protect against discrimination. Texas Democrats thwarted a bill that would have further restricted voting in a state that is already, by some measures, the hardest to vote in. That likely saved the Lone Star State from finishing at the bottom of this list, though Governor Greg Abbott and legislators are pushing ahead in a new special session to pass the legislation. Democratic lawmakers fled the state as a way to slow down the process and draw national attention, while the Texas Senate already voted in favor of the bill.
They mention this voting bill as a primary reason why Texas is not a good place to live. The bill has yet to be passed, but I still have not heard specific reasons why this bill restricts voting.
They also say Texas is the hardest state to vote in based on some measures, but again they site no specific reasons or examples that make it so difficult to vote in our state.
The only state to finish ahead (or behind you might say) in the CNBC rankings was Arizona. They cited Arizona's air quality as one of the determining factors in putting it at the top of their list.
So, what do you think about Texas' ranking as the 2nd worst state to live in 2021? We would love to hear your thoughts, your reaction and your opinion. Let us know on Facebook or chat with us on our station app.
