It's been done time and time before in the Texas/Red Dirt music scene, two artists co-write a song and both record it, one releases it as a single and the other just puts it on the album.  Let's take a look at a song talking about the songwriters in Nashville and how two artists see it in the form of a song.

Adam Hood vs Brian Keane

Adam Hood and Brian Keane have been longtime friends and in a sense they are even 'co-workers' as they have toured and written together.  While neither are from the typical Texas/Red Dirt areas, Texas or Oklahoma, they have been hitting the genre for many years with many hits on both Texas Music Charts and Texas Regional Radio Report.  When it comes to songwriting I feel these guys are pretty solid not to mention both are extremely nice guys and always a pleasure to be around.

In Nashville writers are often times pitched ideas and asked or told or paid to write the next big Nashville hit.  In my opinion these so-called 'hits' are nothing more than idiotic and cookie cutter and  it all sounds the same trash.  To back that up, where do you put a red plastic cup when you're done with it?  In the trash!  Not saying everything that comes out of Nashville is trash but the vast majority very well could be.  Hood and Keane were getting fed up with the ideas and decided to write a song telling the folks in Nashville what they thought.  The finished product was named 'I'll Sing About Mine (The Tractor Song)'.  Keane released it as a radio single and it steadily climbed the Texas charts hitting #2!

Around the Kickin' Country studio we are constantly debating on which version is better.  Both are are awesome versions, but now it's time for y'all to decide.  Which version of 'I'll Sing About Mine (The Tractor Song)' do you think is better and why?

Adam Hood- I'll Sing About Mine (The Tractor Song)

OR

Brian Keane- I'll Sing About Mine (The Tractor Song)

Voting is open until Wednesday May 16th and the winner will be announced at 4:00PM that day!
