Throwback Thursday – Jerry Jeff Walker

Jerry Jeff Walker turned 74 yesterday (March 16th) and I am sure the birthday party will continue all week long, so let's make Jerry Jeff our Throwback Artist of the week.

Jerry has been writing, recording and touring very successfully since 1967 and continues to do it all even today with a touring schedule that keeps him on the road a lot.

The Jerry Jeff Walker Texas Bash is coming up March 26th & 27th in Austin and Gruene! As a matter of fact, Gruene Hall is sold out, but there are still some Paramount tickets

Friday, April 1st he will be playing just up the road at the Outlaws & Legends Music Festival  at The Back Porch of Texas in Abilene.

The big annual South By Southwest music jam has been going on in Austin which he has played on numerous occasions. I found a rare video of Jerry Jeff jamming in the van a couple of years ago at the festival.

Lets Throw it back to that jam session with one of his biggest singles from the album 'Viva Terlingua' which launched Jerry Jeff's career back in 1973. 'Gettin' By' was a huge hit for him.
