Tom Green Sheriff’s Crisis Intervention Unit Volunteer Training
The Tom Green County Crisis Intervention Unit is recruiting volunteers for the Fall Training class.
Training class begins on September 17th and runs every Saturday through Oct. 22nd.
All volunteers are civilian first responders who provide on scene crisis intervention for victims of crime and crisis when requested by law enforcement.
Upon successful completion of the 36 hours of training, volunteers will sign up for 12 hour shifts during which they will carry a pager to be alerted when there's a request for their services. Volunteers always respond in pairs.
