American Aquarium have released a unique 360-degree concert video for their song "Wolves."

The clip was shot with the help of ReverbNation during a show in Raleigh, N.C., where the band is based. A 3D camera was set up onstage to record a complete view of the entire performance, so video viewers can use the navigation in the left-hand corner to explore the performance space and watch the band, the crowd and even the stage floor if they choose; those viewing on a mobile devices can simply move their smartphone around to change the view.

This music video technology aims to bridge the gap between artists and their fans by giving viewers the feeling that they're almost onstage with their favorite bands. Check it out by pressing play on the "Wolves" video above.

"Wolves" is the title track off of American Aquarium's most recent album, which landed on The Boot's list of the top Americana, alt-country and folk albums of 2015. The band is one of the hardest-working groups in music today: They played more than 500 shows in support of their last project, Burn.Flicker.Die.

"It took me a few years to find a group of guys that believed in this band, and these songs, as much as I did," band member BJ Barham tells Rolling Stone Country. "For years, we lived only on the faith that we were doing something that mattered — something that would be remembered — because we weren't making any money ... The only reason to stay was because they believed that we were on to something. That kind of blind trust in what we were doing made me want to write better songs, made me want to work harder.

"We knew that constant touring was the only way to succeed," he continues. "Building this thing one fan at a time, one show at a time, was the only way to move forward. Once I found a band that saw what I saw, everything else just fell into place."

Wolves is available for download via iTunes and Amazon.
