36 Years Ago: Willie Nelson Topped The Charts With One of His Signature Songs

Thirty-six years ago today, on March 8, 1980, Willie Nelson scored his 5th number one song with 'My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys'. The song achieved a number one status for two weeks and followed Willie's good buddy Waylon Jennings' number one hit 'I Ain't Living Long Like This' which was written by Rodney Crowell.
