Angelo State And the City of San Angelo Want to Give You 40 Grand
Do you have an idea for a business? Well Angelo State University and the City of San Angelo could give you $40,000 for your idea.
The city and university are now taking entries for the 2021 San Angelo Business Plan Competition.
The Annual San Angelo Business Plan Competition is a three-phase business plan competition open to those who want to develop a new business or expand an existing business in San Angelo with cash prizes totaling $70K.
The competition is open to any individual or team wanting to start a new business or improve an existing business. Three winners will be awarded the following cash prizes.
- 1st Place - $40,000
- 2nd Place - $20,000
- 3rd Place - $10,000
Applicants must complete a business overview along with their entry form by an August 2nd deadline.
The Entry Form and two-page business overview are required as your initial entry into the business plan competition. Please view the form for additional details and instructions. Please complete the online form and upload your two-page business overview by August 2, 2021 at 5pm.
The competition is being coordinated by The City of San Angelo Development Corporation along with the ASU Norris-Vincent College of Business and the ASU Small Business Development Center.
A panel of judges will be selected from a pool of business leaders and economic development supporters in San Angelo.
Last year, the competition's top prize went to food delivery company "San Angelo To Go".
