Saturday was a blast in downtown, San Angelo, as everybody was loving the live bands during the 4th annual Rockin' The Ranch benefiting the West Texas Boys Ranch!

Kickin' Country Rocked the block all day and all night long with Rockin' The Ranch!

Twohig street was closed from Chadbourne to Irving to accommodate for the concert stage and large crowd that converged on the Festival.

Brushfire, one of San Angelo's most popular bands started the live music at 3:30pm and they were great. They played a lot of Texas/Red Dirt mixed in with some great classics from bands like the Allman Brothers. Lots of energy.

Jennifer Westwood & The Handsome Devils were up next. They are out of Detroit and I was extremely impressed with their sound. Jennifer has a very strong, soulful voice. They were awesome.

Kylie Rae Harris performed acoustically, being joined on harmonies by Courtney Patton from time to time. Kylie Rae is a great writer and performer as well. She is a class act all the way.

Zac Wilkerson was up next. He is always a crowd pleaser with lots of energy and a very tight band. Loved it when he went into 'Middle of the Night'. Great sound.

Case Hardin is a local artist who has really come on strong with a lot of interaction with the crowd and a combination of a rockin'/traditional country. This guy is doing well!

Then came the Michael Lee Band out of Fort Worth. They won the Local Blues Festival two years ago and showed everyone how deserving they were of that award. Michael has a fantastic voice and a very solid band that even includes a horn section. They are a blues/party band in every way.

That brings us to Jason Eady & Courtney Patton. They are two of the coolest people on the Texas Music Scene. Both are great writers and performers. Although, they are married, they both have their own successful solo recording careers. Be looking for a duet album from the couple in the near future.

Then came Micky & The Motorcars. These guys always rock the stage with their unique Rockin' Texas Country Show. They were great and as always, put on a show that you will never forget. Toward the end of their performance, they invited artist from earlier performances to join them on stage for the finale!

Toni and FiFi from the House of FiFi Dubois and Flamingo Flatts work hard to make this happen for the West Texas Boys Ranch every year. The music was free for everyone to enjoy. They sold out of BBQ plates benefiting the Boys Ranch and many t-shirts and Koozies were sold for the Boys Ranch as well.

Thanks to all of the sponsors, volunteers, and fans who once again made the event a total success in 2016. You can bet plans are already being made for the 5th Annual Rockin' The Ranch.
