Drought Level III Is Set To Start October 1st

City Council made a final decision today to go ahead with the enacting of Drought Level III the final stage of our drought contingency plan.

Effective October 1 2012 the most restrictive stage of our drought contingency plan will be enacted prohibiting outside watering with some exceptions that City Council approved today. Those exceptions will include car washes,swimming pools,golf course greens, the hand watering of trees and foundations, and the International Water Lily Collection.

The council also discussed and made decisions on the types of watering systems that were separate from your house hold connection used for irrigation purposes. There will be no charge for you to disconnect the service to that or to reconnect it. All of the exemptions that were enacted will expire on March 1, 2013.
