What is STEAM? STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.

Join us for Family Day Steam to engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. We are partnering with the San Angelo Chapter of Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering (TAME), Tom Green County 4H, and Boeing to bring STEAM to the art museum.

Activities will include:

ASU Civil Engineering Challenge @ 11:00 AM
Drone Engineering Challenge by TAME & 4H @ 1:00 PM
STEM Demonstrations by Goodfellow Airforce Base
Robotics by Tom Green County Library
Hands-on STEAM Exhibit in the Trailblazer Bus*
Hands-on Activities by Tom Green County 4H

*What is the Trailblazer Bus?  TAME's traveling Trailblazers are one-of-a-kind science museums-on-wheels. Exciting, hands-on exhibits teach students about energy, space, weather, biotechnology, and aerodynamics while also introducing them to educational and career opportunities in STEM.
