The San Angelo State Park is offering Summer Adventures for boys and girls ages 9-12 for 6 Wednesdays during the summer. Adventures are from 8-Noon and include hiking, fishing, archery, campfire cooking, crafts, games, and much more. Call the San Angelo State Park at 949-8935 to register or for more information.

If you notice a lot more police officers than normal in San Angelo this week, there is a reason for that. The 2016 Police Olympics are being held  through this Saturday, June 18th at various locations around San Angelo. Everything from Pistol shooting contests to a motorcycle rodeo are taking place among competitors in town from 9 different States.

Angelo Civic Theater is presenting the play 9 to 5 through this Sunday, June 19th. Based on the1980 hit movie and set in the late 1970's, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. For more information, call 949-4400.

Help MHMR celebrate 50 years of service to the Concho Valley this Friday, June 17th at the Convention Center. There will be a book signing, dinner, and music from Jeska Bailey and the Platform Souls. For ticket information and more, call 658-7750.

This month's Cactus Market Day will be this Saturday, June 18th from 10-5 across the street from the Cactus Hotel. Featured entertainers are the Glory Bound Cloggers, and in recognition of Father's Day, the first 50 dads will receive a special gift. The Concho Valley Farmers Market offers locally grown and seasonal fruits, vegetables and plants from 7 a.m. until they sell out (typically by noon) every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Vendors come from a 75-mile radius around San Angelo. The Farmers Market is held under the pavilion at 609 S. Oakes Street across from Fort Concho.

It's time once again for 'The Downtown Stroll' this Thursday, June 16th...which is the 3rd Thursday of the month from 5--9 pm. You'll find a variety of galleries and art exhibits, restaurants, merchants, museums, library exhibits, music venues, and more...many of which stay open late for this special monthly event.
