Sturgill Simpson Promises TWO New Albums if Fans Help Raise $1 Million for Charity
Sturgill Simpson has become one of the most polarizing voices in music -- he's always been one of it's most talented. Since his return to Instagram he's been finding new and exciting ways to keep us all entertained in the new post-COVID world we live in.
IF WE RAISE $1 MILLION DOLLARS BY SATURDAY MAY 23RD I WILL PUT OUT TWO RECORDS THIS YEAR....Thats right...you heard me...TWO.
But enough of the games, Sturgill has charged his D*ck Daddy Survival School students to raise money for a few charities. Over the weekend he shared that DDSS had raised over $100,000 in five days for severely wounded US Special Forces Soldiers and the families of those KIA, Musicares Covid-19 Relief, and Nashville Tornado Relief.
But that's just the beginning. Sturgill has since deleted every post and has his sights set on raising $1 million by Saturday (May 23). He says that if fans can do it he'll release two new albums in 2020. If the goal is not reached Simpson says the post will be his last post.
In the long and edited post Simpson also claimed that some of his widely-discussed erratic behavior was part of a ploy to get out from a soured label contract, "I accomplished what more than a couple high powered attorneys told me could not be done and got out of my label contract (with one single psycho-ass performance art interview..TOTALLY worth the fall out). Never ever EVER underestimate the power of the word “no” or being “difficult” kids."
C'mon, guys! Let's do this. This is a rally call. If not for the charities, for the simple fact I really and selfishly want to see where this road leads. Click and buy something, y'all: SturgillSimpson.com.
