Mary Payton Talks American Cancer Society’s 2015 Kickin’ Cancer Kickball Tourney

The San Angelo American Cancer Society is hosting their first annual kickball tournament on Saturday, August 29th at the Texas Bank Sports Complex on Bell Street.

I talked with Mary Payton, a representative of the American Cancer Society in San Angelo today on the Kickin' Wake-Up Call and we talked about the tournament. Mary said that a lot of people have a misconception about what kickball actually is and how to play the game. She described it for us and it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun.

She said that there will be two divisions so that everyone has a chance to get a team together and play. Mary also explained how the kickball tournament actually serves two purposes. The deadline for entering the tournament is Monday, August 24th and the tournament starts at 8 am on Saturday the 29th.
