WATCH NOW: Sturgill Simpson Featured in New ‘Queen & Slim’ Trailer

Sturgill Simpson has been bitten hard by the acting bug. Over the past couple years we've seen him take on more and more television and movie rolls. Once again, the man who was not long ago tasked with being country music's savior is returning to the big screen.

Up next for Simpson? He will play a pivotal roll in a new movie called "Queen & Slim." The movie tells the story of a couple played by "Get Out"’s Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith, in her first starring feature-film role, who go on the lam after they shoot and kill a police officer during at traffic stop that goes wrong.

"Queen & Slim" hits theaters on November 27th.
