All Aboard!! San Angelo’s Railway Days Fest is Sat, May 14th!
You’re invited to enjoy The Railway Days Festival this Saturday, May 14 at the Railway Museum of San Angelo from 10 am til 4 pm.
You'll be entertained in numerous ways. Enjoy living history tours, a car show, tours of the caboose and engine, rides on the Choo Choo Train for kids, vendors, food trucks and much more. You’re invited to dress up in old-timey clothes if you have them. All model railroaders are invited to bring their model trains and equipment to set up with tables provided on the depot platform at 9 am for Show, Swap or Sell. The Second Saturday of every month is now a special day at the Railway Museum. From 10 am - 4 pm the museum’s kid-sized motorized train chugs around the grounds. There are Living History tours, vendors pop-up booths, food trucks and a brand-new treasure hunt to help people discover the depot’s secrets. There is also a new trolley cart for coffee, tea and cocoa inside the depot.
A grant from the San Angelo Cultural Affairs Council allows All Aboard for Arts with workshops on Second Saturdays at 2 p.m. in the museum lobby.
San Angelo's Railway Museum is constantly bringing all kinds of fun events for everyone to enjoy year round. Some of those events include April Tunes on the Tracks; May Railway Days; June African American Music Month; July Click and Clack photography workshop; August Legos workshop;September “Better Safe Than Sorry” and Arthur Stilwell's Dream of Steam; October Scare Station and Santa's Santa Fe Station to add to your Christmas Joy.
We should be very proud of our San Angelo Railway Museum! It is always well maintained and offers residents and visitors a unique opportunity to put a little more diversity in their lives!!
