After winning the super regional against the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks in a best-of-three series May 27 & 28th, the Angelo State University Ram baseball team advanced to the NCAA Division II College World Series.

The Rams will open up the first round of the Division II College World Series in Cary, North Carolina, on June 5, as the No. 5 seed, where they will take on No. 4 Southern New Hampshire University.

It all comes down to eight top teams for the 2022 DII baseball championship. The games will be played beginning on June 4th at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.

We have the 2022 DII baseball championship schedule for you as listed below:

June 4, 1:30 p.m. ET: No. 3 Southern Arkansas vs. No. 6 Rollins
June 4, 6 p.m. ET: No. 2 Point Loma vs. No. 7 Illinois Springfield
June 5, 1:30 p.m. ET: No. 4 Southern New Hampshire vs. No. 5 Angelo State
June 5, 6 p.m. ET: No. 1 North Greenville vs. No. 8 West Chester
June 6-11: TBD

It's interesting that just two teams are returning from the 2021 finals and seven of the eight teams this year have never reached the championship game.

Many fans are predicting that the competition in DII baseball 2022 appears to be more level than ever before this year.  The competition showcases a steller lineup of some of the best players in college baseball throughout the teams as is evident just by the fact that these are the only eight teams that excelled to this top competition.

We are always proud of our Angelo State University Rams and are cheering for them to win the glory that comes with winning this huge competition.
