BUFFALO SOLDIER HERITAGE DAY SUN, FEB 28TH
In partnership with the Fort Concho Foundation and the San Angelo Chapter of the NAACP, Fort Concho will celebrate Buffalo Soldier Heritage Day this Sun, Feb 28th from 2:00 – 3:30 pm in the Fort Concho Stables with free admission. This year’s program theme is “Buffalo Soldiers and the Frontier Army: Men, Mission and Myth.” Seating is limited and masks are required. For more information, call 481-2646.
CIRQUE ITALIA WATER CIRCUS MARCH 4TH – 7TH

2021 CRAZY DESERT TRAIL RACE SAT, MARCH 6TH

LIVING HISTORY AT FT CONCHO SAT, MARCH, 6TH
Everyone is invited to experience the life of Army officers and their families on a frontier post on Sat, March 6th in Fort Concho’s Officers’ Quarters #6 from 10 am – 3 pm. The quarters will come to life with the sight, sounds, and smells of the frontier as their living historians bake 19th century recipes, play music, and gather to tell stories of what life was like for these men and women. The event is free & capacity will be limited to 100 guests. Masks must be worn and social distancing will be in effect. For more information, call 481-2646.
BREWS EWES & BBQ COOK-OFF SAT, MARCH 6TH
The 2021 Brews Ewes & BBQ Cook-Off is being held on Sat, March 6th starting at 11 am at 330 S Irving in Downtown San Angelo. The annual competition and festival is hosted by Downtown San Angelo Inc & sanctioned by the International Bar-B-Que Cookers Association with teams from across the region competing for best brisket, chicken, pork ribs, and beans. GIRL SCOUT COOKIES SUN, MARCH 14TH
Due to the inclement weather we have experienced in the Concho Valley, the Girl Scouts have extending their cookie sales until Sun, March 14th. Drive in booths continue on the Knickerbocker side of San Angelo Stadium during weekends as well as booths at Lowe’s Home Improvement and Maurices.
