A lot of people will be off work to enjoy Good Friday (April 2nd) and the rest of Easter Weekend as numerous businesses and services will be closed.

Let's run some of those closings in the San Angelo area down for you so that you are not surprised with something you weren't expecting.

Most San Angelo city offices will be closed for Good Friday and set to reopen Monday, April 5th at 8 am.

Below is a list of some of San Angelo's city departments and operations that will be closed during the Easter holiday weekend:

City Hall and the Community Development Building

City Hall Annex

Municipal Court

San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department

Parks and Recreation offices

Animal Services (Animal Shelter)

Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers

Fairmount Cemetery’s business offices

Nature Center

Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing senior centers

Fortunately if you have plenty of trash that needs to be picked up, there will be no interruption in trash pickup or landfill operations on Good Friday.

One of the popular places to take guest who come to visit for Easter Weekend is Fort Concho. Good news! the Fort's Visitor Center will be open from 9-5 both on Good Friday and also Saturday. You can also visit throughout the weekend with self-guided tours including this Easter Sunday from 1-5 pm. For more information, visit fortconcho.com. Fort Concho is located at 630 S. Oakes.
