An employee at the H-E-B on Sherwood Way has tested positive for COVID-19.

The good news is they have not worked at the store since June 9.

This employee is another in a long list of people in San Angelo who have the disease. There have been 65 cases since Monday in San Angelo.

H-E-B released a statement about the situation saying:

"All directly affected (employees) at the location have been notified and the store has been deep cleaned and sanitized multiple times since then. We continue to enforce proper social distancing practices, strict sanitation and require the use of masks or facial covering by all our (employees) and vendors in customer facing and close contact positions."

Again, wear a mask in public places, wash your hands consistently, use hand sanitizer, and social distance.

Stay safe San Angelo.
