Watching the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on television has been a tradition and part of the Holiday for many years and this year it's still happening, but with some changes. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is Thursday, Nov 26th on NBC.

Broadcasting the parade will be the Today Show anchors but something big will be missing this year....the crowds! Due to concerns over COVID-19 fans aren't allowed on the streets at all this year.

You won't be seeing any marching bands either. Word is that it's too risky for bands to travel this year.

Some of the performances will be taped the night before and most will happen outside of Macy's Herald Square location.

No people will be controlling the balloons with cables. Instead, anchor vehicles will pull the balloons along the route.

The number of participants in the parade has been reduced by 75 percent and nobody under the age of 18 will be allowed.

Even with all of these changes, it is expected that most of the popular balloons, floats, and performance ensembles will be in the parade to entertain you including Santa of course!
