Back to School time is just around the corner and we want to help the teachers of SAISD kick off the school year. While our local teachers receive supplies from their campuses, we’d like to show them how much we appreciate them by helping out with some of the special supplies that they can use to enhance the learning experience even more. For the full list of items we’re accepting, please visit our website. You can drop off your donation at our studios at 1301 S. Abe through August 16th.

Join Kickin’ Country 103-1 for 'Working Women's Wednesday' at the Chadbourne Tavern Downtown San Angelo from 6-8 pm. Enjoy great drink specials that include $1 margaritas, $1 wells and $2 draft pints. There will also be free food and games for numerous prizes including cash!!

It's time once again for the Downtown Stroll which is held every third Thursday of the month. Join the fun Thurs, Aug 15th from 5-9 pm as this once a month event showcases some of the best art, food, and fun that Downtown San Angelo has to offer. Be sure to ride the trolley for free while your there.

Kickin it on the North Side 'Kickball Tournament and Cooking for Sports BBQ Cook-Off' is being held at Lake View Stadium Sat, Aug 17th beginning at 8 am and benefiting the athletes and athletic programs of Lake View High School! The BBQ Cook-Off will have multiple categories: Anything on a Stick, Poppers, Beans, Chicken, Ribs and more. Enjoy 'Downtown Movie Night' this Friday, August 16th featuring the movie 'Avengers-Infinity War'. The free movies are shown outdoors at 17 East Twohig in the parking Lot across from the Cactus Hotel starting at 9 pm. Bring your chairs and blankets. Concessions will be available.

In partnership with Shannon Women's Fitness Center, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is proud to bring you their free Art, Wine, & Yoga summer series every third Thursday during the summer Downtown Stroll. The next session is this Thursday, Aug 15th at 7:30 pm led by a certified adult & yoga kids instructor. Yoga begins at 7:30 followed by complimentary wine and a special tour of the galleries. All levels of yoga are welcome. They have mats or you can bring your own. For more information, call 653-3333.

Be Theatre presents their season opener with the annual summer tradition of cheering, booing and popcorn throwing back for a 7th year as performances continue this weekend...Aug 15th - 17th! The 'Beguiling Bootlegger' is set in the roaring 1920’s in downtown San Angelo at a scandalous speakeasy. This melodramatic original tale (that may or may not be true) is sure to bring side splitting humor along with gallons of popcorn popped and ready to hurl at your favorite villains. The Concho Valley Farmers Market’s thrice-weekly produce sales begin at 7 am each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday under the pavilion at 609 S. Oakes St. across from Fort Concho. The vendors, who come from a 75-mile radius around San Angelo, sell locally grown seasonal fruits, vegetables and plants. For more information, call 245-3338.

Enjoy an afternoon of art making at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts every Thursday from 3-6 pm in the Education Studio. They always feature fun with clay and watercolors, and every three weeks there are two new art projects to try. Admission is free and visitors are welcome to drop in anytime between 3 and 6.
