We have another great week of celebrating the Christmas and Holiday Spirit. Check out the list of numerous holiday events for you and your family to enjoy!

The Concho Christmas Celebration that was postponed due to inclimate weather last Saturday, will be held this Saturday, Dec. 10th. Enjoy the Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the corner of South Chadbourne and Concho Avenue beginning at 5:15 pm. The celebration will include live music by the Angelo Community Band and the Twin Mountain Tonesmen. Then, be sure to take in the holiday fun with the Lights of Christmas Parade at 6. The Concho Christmas Tour of Lights is now underway and continues through December 31st. Pack everyone in the car and drive the 2.5 miles along the banks of the Concho River through the "Tour of Lights." Enjoy over 3 million lights in a number of Holiday displays. The Tour begins at 1st Street & Abe (just north of the Post Office). A donation of $5 per vehicle may be made at start of tour.

Christmas at the Santa Fe Depot is open from 6-9 every Friday and Saturday evening through December 30th, except for Christmas Day. Santa will be at the Depot during the shows so Children of all ages can talk to him, his helpers and get their pictures taken. The show features a special Christmas story for children at 7 PM. Also a Christmas Craft room will be open so children can make special Christmas decorations and gifts. Call 486-2140 for more information.

ASU’s Theatre presents “Little Women”, a full length Comedy play December 8th-10th at ASU’s Modular Dinner Theatre. The play presents the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth, Amy and Marmee & includes all the great scenes from the book, including the popular Christmas shopping scene. For more information, call 942-2000.

Concho Valley PAWS will have an indoor garage sale at the Journey Bible Church, 2819 W. Loop 306 this Saturday, Dec. 10th from 8 til 2. Donations are being accepted and if you have appliances, clothing, toys, tools, or any other garage sale items that you would like to donate, call Jenie at 656-3950. There will also be a bake sale in conjunction with the garage sale.

The Toys for Tots Burrito Breakfast is being held at Schneider Distributing beginning at 7 am this Friday, Dec. 9th. Get a delicious breakfast burrito or pick up burritos for everyone in your office with a donation to Toys for Tots. For advance orders, call 482-8922 and they will be ready when you stop by to pick up your order!

Run Rudolph Run will be this Sunday, Dec. 11th at 5:30 at the Museum of Fine Arts. Run, walk, or stroll through the Christmas Lights and enjoy free soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, cookies and hot chocolate at the end of the run. Plus get your photos with Santa. Donations will benefit the San Angelo Lady Lions charity programs.

Meals for the Elderly's 28th Christmas Open House will be at the Tucker home on Lake Nasworthy this Sunday, Dec. 11th from 11-3. Enjoy great food from talented chefs and take a tour of this beautiful home that is all decked out for Christmas. Tickets are $30.00 per person advance, $35.00 at the door. The Toys for Tots Last Chance 12 Hour Toy Drive will be held at HEB this Saturday, Dec. 10th from 8-8. Cash or new unwrapped toys will be accepted and if your business has been collecting donations, please bring them to HEB that day. There are 5,000 local kids who are in need this Christmas, and your generous donation will help each of these kids to have a Merry Christmas.

Lone Star Warriors and San Angelo Support for Veterans are bringing 24 Combat Injured Veterans to San Angelo this Wednesday, Dec. 7th and you can welcome them at the airport at 11:30 or 3:30. The Warriors parade will be held Thursday, Dec. 8th at Noon on Veteran's Drive by the river. Everyone is invited to come out for 5 bands and cheer for these veterans along the parade route.

The 7th Annual Seniors Still Believe Program is underway now through this Fri., Dec. 9th at the Mall. Stop by, pick out an ornament and buy the item or items listed to make a Christmas wish come true for seniors served by Meals for the Elderly. The Twin Mountain Tonesmen will perform their 24th Annual Free Christmas Concerts on Saturday, Dec. 10th at 7 pm and Sunday, Dec. 11th at 5 pm at the First United Methodist Church downtown.
