San Angelo Weekly Events 09/21/15 – 09/27/15
Fall is coming on with more fall festivals this weekend, a big trail ride, a couple of walks and runs, a sporting clay shoot, art opportunities, a dinner gala, and more.
This Thursday, Sept 24th and every Thursday, between 3 and 6 pm, enjoy an afternoon of art making in the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts Education Studio! They always feature clay and watercolor, and every three weeks there are two new art projects to try. Visitors are welcome anytime between 3 pm and 6 p.m.
You're invited to enjoy the Art of Hope Gala that the Concho Valley Rape Crisis center has planned for you this Thursday evening, Sept. 24th at 6 pm in the Cactus Hotel. You will be treated to a wonderful evening of art, wine, dinner, music & friendship in support of the center. Come see all the great art and help out a good cause. Downtown Movie Night this Friday, Sept. 25th features 'Cinderella' staring Lily James and Cate Blanchett in this classic remake. Admission is free in the parking lot across from the Cactus Hotel at 9 pm. Concessions are available and you are invited to bring your lawn chairs out and enjoy another free, fun downtown movie night.
'Taps For Tails' is Friday, Sept 25th at the Penny Tap House from 7 to 11 pm. Proceeds benefit Critter Shack & Angels For Animals. For a $10 cover charge, enjoy great drink specials, a nacho bar, a raffle, prize and live music from 'Clever Blue'. Get more information at crittershack.org.
The Flight of the Monarchs Trail Ride is this Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 26th & 27th at the San Angelo State Park. Enjoy lots of activities including a trail ride, a horse poker run, chuck wagon meals, live & silent auctions, cowboy singers, cowboy church, a show from the Concho Cowboy Company, and more. The 11th annual 'Let It Go' Recovery Rally and Run is this Saturday, Sept. 26th at the Paseo. There is a 5k and 1 mile fun run, balloon ceremony, food, prizes, and more. For details, go to adaccv.org.
