Lots of Christmas events and activities this week...of course, Christmas is this Friday. There is a free Christmas dinner for military personnel, the 'Tour of Lights' continues, a list of restaurants open on Christmas, the Santa Fe Christmas celebration, Christmas shopping opportunities, and more.

You are invited to drive through the ‘Tour of Lights’ and enjoy over 2.5 miles of holiday fun along the banks of the Concho River downtown. Featured are over 3 million lights in a number of holiday displays. The tour is open Fridays & Saturdays 6 pm to midnight. Sundays through Thursdays, 6 pm to 10 pm through December 31st. The Tour begins on 1st Street & Abe (just north of the Post Office). A Donation of $5 per vehicle may be made at the start of the tour.

The San Angelo Elks Lodge is serving Christmas Dinner for military personnel who are unable to be with their families on Christmas Day at 1 pm. If you would like to donate food, cash or gifts, call the Lodge at 227-6920.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas' Boxes is running through December 31st on Algerita Drive near Santa Rita Park in the Santa Rita subdivision, on the Corner of Paseo de Vaca and Algerita Drive. It's free for all to enjoy. There are 10 boxes with miniatures in each box telling the story of Twas the Night Before Christmas! Every kids favorite! The Santa Rita Christmas lights and shadowboxes are well lit and open for viewing every night from 6 until 10 p.m.

The Country Christmas Blood Drive is your chance to give the gift of life and have the chance to win some great prizes. All donors have the opportunity to win a beautiful piece of jewelry from Cano's Diamonds, tickets to the January 3rd Cowboys game against Washington, and more. Everyone is invited to enjoy a Lighted Evening of Shopping this Tuesday, December 22nd from 5 pm-8 pm at The Chicken Farm Art Center. This is a great opportunity to purchase some unique and special gifts for Christmas as Studio Artists will be having some great sales with reduced prices. Enjoy Refreshments and Snacks. It's also a great time to see the Art Center at night, all lit up like a Christmas Tree! Enjoy a Santa Fe Christmas at the Railway Museum every Friday & Saturday night through Jan. 2nd. There are Christmas stories each evening at 7, a Craft Room for the kids, pictures with Santa, 6 model train layouts and much more.
